Description
A low, flat top front garden gate with scrolls, 914mm (36in) high to the top of the scrolls. It comes in four widths, so it suits a narrow path or a wider 4ft entrance.
Gate sizes and fitting
- Gaps (post to post): 762mm (2ft 6in), 914mm (3ft), 1067mm (3ft 6in) or 1220mm (4ft)
- Frame height 820mm, 914mm to the top of the scrolls
- Hinge and latch gaps are already allowed for
Construction and finish
- Solid steel
- Frame 25mm x 10mm; scroll sections 10mm x 3mm
- Electro-galvanised, then powder coated black
- Universal: hangs left or right hand
The galvanising and powder coat add rust resistance, but they are not a 100% rust-proof guarantee. Check the finish now and then and touch up any chips with paint. Paint the nuts and bolts after fitting, and keep touching up the hinges and other moving parts. Made-to-measure sizes are available on this range, so ring us for a quote. Burbage normally supplies made-to-measure metal primed only unless agreed otherwise, which means it needs painting.
What’s included
The gate comes with hinge angle brackets, bolts, and a tip latch and catch. Screws and wall plugs are not included.
Posts and fixing
Blank metal posts, 50mm or 70mm square and 1500mm long, are sold separately. They need drilling on site to take the brackets, and you position the brackets to suit. The post or brickwork must be strong enough to carry the gate. The gate fixes to brickwork, metal or timber posts.
