AgriGate Automated Gate Systems
Pre-Built, Tested, and Ready to Secure Your Property
The AgriGate automated gate system takes the complexity out of securing a farm entrance, yard, or rural property. Unlike bespoke automated gates that require weeks of design and fabrication, AgriGate arrives as a complete, pre-built package with every component fitted, wired, and factory-tested before it leaves our workshop.
The result is a system that can be installed and operational in a fraction of the time and cost of a traditional automated gate, without compromising on quality, safety, or reliability.
What Is Included in Every AgriGate System
Every AgriGate package comes with everything needed for a complete installation. There are no hidden extras or surprise costs for essential components.
The system includes a pre-built gate with bolt-down hinge and latch posts, a No Ram operator with built-in obstruction detection, an IP-rated control panel with remote receiver, safety photocells for obstacle detection, two handheld remote transmitters, a heavy-duty magnetic lock with fittings, and all pre-installed cabling and factory-tested components.
That is the full working system in one delivery. Open the box, install the posts, hang the gate, connect the power, and you are up and running.
Power Options for Every Location
AgriGate systems come with mains power as standard, but we know that plenty of farm entrances and field gates sit nowhere near a power supply. That is why every system can be upgraded to solar power with battery backup.
The solar option is completely self-sufficient. A panel charges the battery during daylight hours, and the battery stores enough power to operate the gate through the night and during overcast weather. It is a genuine fit-and-forget solution for remote locations.
For sites that have mains power nearby but want a backup, we also offer battery systems that switch over automatically during power cuts. Harvest does not stop because the electric goes off, and neither should your gate.
Built for Agricultural Use
The AgriGate system is built to cope with the demands of a working farm. The No Ram operator handles gates up to 4 metres wide and is rated for frequent daily use by tractors, trailers, and other heavy vehicles. The control panel is IP-rated for outdoor installation, and all cabling and connections are designed to withstand the weather conditions you would expect in the Shropshire countryside.
The obstruction detection system is particularly important in agricultural settings. If a person, animal, or vehicle is in the path of the gate, the operator stops and reverses automatically. Combined with the safety photocells, this provides the level of protection required by current UK regulations for automated gates.
Safety and Compliance
Every AgriGate installation we carry out meets the requirements of the Machinery Directive, the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations, and BS EN 13241. As a Gate Safe Premier Installer, we take compliance seriously. That means a proper risk assessment for every site, appropriate safety devices fitted as standard, and full documentation provided on completion.
If you are installing the system yourself, we provide comprehensive guidance on safety requirements and can arrange a post-installation safety check to make sure everything meets the necessary standards.
Optional Accessories and Upgrades
The standard AgriGate system covers most requirements, but we offer a full range of accessories for properties that need something extra. Options include additional remote controls, intercom systems, keypads for PIN-code entry, GSM and mobile phone access, push buttons, vehicle detection sensors, WiFi and 4G connectivity for app-based control, stop posts and safety posts, protective motor covers, and signage.
For properties that need timber rather than steel, we also supply AgriGate systems with timber gates and posts on request.
Installation Options
You have two choices with AgriGate. The system is designed for straightforward self-installation if you have the equipment and confidence to handle it. You will need to prepare concrete pads, dig a cable trench (for mains-powered systems), position the gate using lifting equipment, and complete the connections.
Alternatively, our engineers will handle the entire installation from groundworks through to commissioning and safety testing. Most AgriGate installations are completed within a single day.
Available Sizes
AgriGate automated systems are available in a range of standard widths to suit different entrance types, from pedestrian gates through to full-width field and yard entrances. If you need something outside the standard range, talk to us about a bespoke solution.
