Farm and Field Gates

Tough, Reliable Gates Built for Working Farms

A field gate gets more punishment in a month than most domestic gates see in a decade. Tractors pushing through in wet weather. Livestock leaning against them. Feed deliveries, vet visits, contractors coming and going. They freeze solid in January and bake in August. And they still need to open, close, and latch properly every single time.

We supply and install farm and field gates that are built to handle exactly this kind of daily use, year after year, without falling apart or seizing up. Whether you need a single replacement field gate or a complete set of new gates across a holding, we have the right product at the right price.

Steel Field Gates

Our galvanised steel field gates are the workhorse of the range. Hot-dip galvanised after fabrication, they are protected against rust and corrosion from the moment they leave the factory. There is no paint to chip and no coating to wear through. The galvanised finish works in all weathers and requires virtually no maintenance.

Standard five-bar and seven-bar designs are available in widths from 3ft (0.9m) through to 16ft (4.8m), covering everything from pedestrian access points to full-width field entrances. For yards and farm compounds, we also supply heavier-gauge gates with reinforced frames for areas that see constant vehicle traffic.

All steel gates are supplied with appropriate hanging hardware. We can supply gate posts in galvanised steel or treated timber to match your existing fencing.

Timber Field Gates

For farms that prefer the look and feel of timber, we supply pressure-treated wooden field gates that combine traditional appearance with modern durability. Our timber gates are tanalised to protect against rot, fungal decay, and insect damage, giving a working life measured in decades rather than years.

Timber gates work particularly well on estate properties, equestrian holdings, and farms where the entrance is visible from the road. They blend naturally with hedgerows and post-and-rail fencing in a way that steel never quite manages.

Available in standard five-bar designs from 3ft to 12ft, with heavier-duty estate patterns for wider openings.

Livestock Gates and Handling Systems

Containing and moving livestock safely requires gates designed specifically for the job. Our livestock range includes standard field gates with mesh infill panels to prevent lambs and smaller stock from pushing through, sheeted gates that block line of sight to reduce stress during handling, and yard gates sized for cattle and sheep handling systems.

We work with farmers to specify the right gates for their particular stock and handling setup. Getting this wrong wastes time and causes unnecessary stress to animals, so it pays to get proper advice before ordering.

Gate Automation for Farm and Field Gates

Any of our farm and field gates can be fitted with automation. For main farm entrances and yards, this typically means a full AgriGate automated system with safety devices and access control. For field gates that only need occasional automated opening, simpler solutions are available.

Solar-powered automation is particularly popular for field gates, as it removes the need to run power cables across fields. Our solar kits are rated for the UK climate and provide reliable operation even during the shorter days of winter.

Accessories and Hardware

We stock a full range of gate hardware and accessories including spring-loaded auto-latches for livestock containment, adjustable hinges for gates that need to clear uneven ground, slam latches and padlock-ready catches, galvanised gate posts and strainer posts, concrete-in and bolt-down post options, and gate stops and drop bolts for double gates.

Supply, Delivery, and Installation

We supply farm and field gates for collection, delivery, or full professional installation. For straightforward replacements, many farmers prefer to handle the fitting themselves. For new installations, particularly where new post holes need digging or existing infrastructure needs modifying, our installation service takes the hassle out of the job.

We deliver throughout Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, the West Midlands, and Mid Wales.
