Description
These aluminium double driveway gates have an open top with a mix of infill styles. Solid infill across the main body keeps the drive private, and the open top gives a lighter look. Heights start at 1000mm, so they suit a low front boundary as well as a full-height entrance.
Open-top driveway gate sizes and fitting
- Overall width: 3000, 3250, 3500, 3750 or 4000mm (about 9ft 10in to 13ft 1in)
- Height: 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800 or 2000mm (about 3ft 3in to 6ft 7in)
- Colour: black or grey
- Style: open top with mixed infill, solid infill sections for privacy across the main body
Measure the width of your opening and the height you want, then pick the nearest size. If you are unsure how much clearance the hinges need, ask us before you order.
Construction and finish
Powder-coated aluminium with a textured finish. The solid infill sections add strength and privacy. Powder-coated aluminium is corrosion-resistant, not rust-proof for ever. If the coating gets chipped, touch it in promptly. 50ml touch-up paint is available in Jet Black (RAL 9005) and Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016). Wash the gate down with soapy water and rinse to keep it clean.
What’s included
Each pair comes with 4 wall-mounted adjustable hinges and 2 floor-mounted hinges. A lock and handle set is not supplied as standard with double driveway gates, so add one separately (we list handle sets with a lock and keys). Posts are not included. No screws or wall plugs are included for fixing to brick or posts, so allow for your own.
Posts and fixing
You can hang the gates from brick piers or from Ready Made Gates aluminium posts, which come in 100mm and 150mm square sizes (see the post pages on this shop). Ready Made Gates has fitting guides for brick-to-brick, 50mm post and 100mm post installs. Ask us to survey your opening if you are unsure.
This gate comes with a 5-year manufacturer warranty from Ready Made Gates. Ask us for the terms before you buy.
