Description
The tall Corfe double gates are flat top estate style driveway gates in steel, 1778mm (70in) to the tips of the fleur-de-lys spears. Choose these when you want privacy and a firm line across the drive.

Measure post to post. Hinge and latch gaps are included. Infill bar count varies with the width.

Construction and finish
Solid steel with 25mm x 25mm box section frames and 16mm round solid infill bars. Finials are black, not as pictured. Adjustable hinges allow levelling. Two drop bolts let you secure the gates open or closed.
Choose your finish: primed and painted, or electro-galvanised and powder coated
Both options are black, but they are not the same product, so check which one you are ordering.
- Primed and painted black: the lower-priced option. The steel is primed and painted only. It is not galvanised or powder coated. It needs a good rust-inhibiting top coat after fitting, and more upkeep over the years.
- Electro-galvanised and powder coated black: the dearer option. The steel is electro-galvanised for added rust resistance, then powder coated. It needs less upkeep.
Neither finish is rust-proof. On the galvanised and powder coated version, check it now and then, touch up any chips with paint and expect to repaint every couple of years. Moving parts need touching up more often.

Screws and wall plugs are not included. Paint the nuts and bolts after fitting to stop them rusting.
Posts and fixing
Suitable posts: 70mm square concrete-in hinge posts, 2400mm long, for the 7ft to 9ft gaps and 100mm square for the wider ones. The posts are electro-galvanised and powder coated. The gate posts we sell include hinge posts with the hinge pins welded on and latch posts with the catch welded on, usually made to order. Ask us which suits your gate.
If you are hanging on metal posts, the hinges should be welded to the post. Check the posts or brickwork can carry the weight.
