Description
A blank 70mm square metal post for hanging gates, set in concrete. It has no pre-drilled holes, so you drill it on site and put the brackets where your gate needs them.
70mm concrete-in gate post sizes
- 70mm square, concrete-in only. It is not a bolt-down post
- 1500mm long: suits double gates. It replaces the discontinued 1400mm length
- 2350mm long: suits tall gates
- Flat top with a plastic cap insert, or a ball top welded on. The ball adds about 50mm to the overall height
Construction and finish
Electro-galvanised, then powder coated black. The galvanising is not a 100% rust-proof guarantee, so touch up any chips in the coating with paint.
What’s included
The post only. Brackets, gate and fixings are separate, and screws and wall plugs are not included.
Posts and fixing
You need to drill the post on site to fit the brackets, and it goes into concrete. Make sure the length suits your ground, particularly on slopes. Ask us if you are unsure which length suits your gate.
