Wrought Iron Gates
Wrought iron gates have a presence that other materials struggle to match. There is a weight and solidity to them that makes a statement about your property, whether you go for something ornate and traditional or clean and contemporary.
We supply and install wrought iron gates across the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and Mid Wales. Every set of gates is hand-crafted by skilled fabricators and finished with high-quality powder coating for long-term durability.
THE CHARACTER OF IRON:
What draws most people to wrought iron is the craft involved. These gates are shaped and welded by hand, which means every set has a character that mass-produced alternatives simply cannot replicate. Scrollwork, twists, finials, and decorative panels can all be incorporated into the design.
Iron is also extremely strong. A well-made wrought iron gate will last decades with proper maintenance, and it provides a level of physical security that lighter materials cannot offer. For properties where security is a priority alongside aesthetics, iron is difficult to beat.
STYLES AND DESIGNS:
Our wrought iron gate range covers everything from classic Victorian and Georgian-inspired designs through to minimal modern panels. Some of the most popular options include gates with arched tops, gates with vertical bars and simple finials, and gates incorporating family crests or house numbers.
We can also produce matching railings, fencing, and handrails to create a consistent look across your property boundary.
FINISHING AND PROTECTION:
Raw iron will rust if left unprotected, which is why every gate we supply is finished with professional powder coating. This provides a hard, even coating that resists chips, scratches, and weather damage far more effectively than traditional paint.
The standard finish is black, but powder coating is available in a wide range of colours if you prefer something different. We can also apply a galvanised base coat beneath the powder coating for additional corrosion protection, which we recommend for gates in exposed locations.
MAINTENANCE:
Wrought iron gates need a bit more attention than aluminium, but it is nothing onerous. An annual check for any chips or scratches in the coating, touched up promptly, will prevent rust from getting a foothold. A wash with soapy water keeps the finish looking fresh.
If your gates are automated, we recommend an annual service to check the mechanical components alongside the gate condition.
INSTALLATION:
As with all our gate installations, the process starts with a free site survey. We will measure the opening, assess the ground conditions, discuss your design preferences, and talk through options for posts, automation, and access control.
We handle all groundwork, post installation, gate hanging, and finishing. If automation is part of the project, we install and commission the full system including safety devices.
